Blitzter is an intermediate level chess engine with support for normal, suicide, and atomic variations.  It is rated around 1800 USCF, and plays equally as well at lightning as it does at standard chess.  Its atomic rating is 1700 to 1800, depending on the time control.  Suicide chess is in beta mode, but will soon be out, rated approximately 2000 to 2200.  It is, so far, only compatible with the Winboard protocol. 

All of the programming techniques used in Blitzter's development are documented under the "Documentation" section.  There are a few code samples; if you use any of them, I ask that you mention me (or drop a link) if you release it for public use .  The documentation is the most interesting part of this site, so I suggest you meander in that direction. 

The "Download" section contains old versions of Blitzter back to version 2.0.  The first version was rated 1600 and spontaneously crashed, so I deemed it necessary to omit it from the list.  You will most definitely agree.
